Kimplas is a pioneer in India for supply of Electro Fusion Fittings for Gas Distribution Projects. Kimplas has been associated with Gas Distribution Projects of City Gas Distribution Companies since its inception in 1996.

First supply was made to Mahanagar Gas Ltd ( A Joint Venture Company of British Gas and GAIL India Ltd) in 1997. Since then, Kimplas has continuously expanded its product range to cater entire Indian CGD companies and exports to UK, MENA countries. Kimplas caters 90 % of Gas Company requirement from its indigenous product range. All Fittings are customised to suit typical Indian tropical conditions.

With its own R & D, Product Design and Mould making facilities Kimplas successfully developed and introduced in 1997 for the first time in the history of City Gas Distribution, 32 x 20 mm Electrofusion Tapping Tees on special request of Indian Gas Companies to cater small consumers market. Now Kimplas has developed Flexi Tapping Tees – innovative Fittings to suit multiple pipe size requirements and reduces inventory of the Fittings. Kimplas also recently developed moulded transition Couplers in 20 x ½” size as one piece assembly.

Electrofusion Fittings are approved by Advantica (Earlier British Gas) for Phase – I & II, First to get this important approval in India . All Electrofusion Fittings have approvals from BSI (Kitemark) & DVGW – First Electrofusion Company to get Kitemark Licence & DVGW Approval in India.
It has UK subsidiary in operation since 2006 which keeps stock of Fittings required for UK and Europe market. Kimplas with its increased capacity and wide product range now enjoys 80 % market share in Gas Distribution Segment in India (Survey Report by BDB – in 2009).

Kimplas has complete product range up to 125 mm dia in Electrofusion Couplers, Reducers, Equal Tees, Elbows, End Caps & Tapping Tees up to 250 mm dia with 32 & 20 mm outlets. By end December 2011, Product Range will be enhanced to 180mm and to 315mm by 2012.

Kimplas has started manufacturing of fully automated Electrofusion Welding Machine & Special Tools required for Electrofusion jointing and Gas Distribution Network Project.

Kimplas is helping the Gas Industry by developing the required trained manpower to overcome shortage of trained /skilled manpower for MDPE piping installation work and Kimplas has full time training and certification team which undertake regular training program at customer premises, sites and factory. Kimplas has trained more than 1700 people for Electrofusion jointing.
