Venturi Kit

A Venturi kit in agriculture is a device used to inject fertilizers or chemicals into irrigation water. It works using the Venturi effect, where fast-moving water creates suction that pulls liquid nutrients into the system. It is commonly used in drip and sprinkler irrigation for efficient fertigation.

A Venturi kit in agriculture is a simple device used to inject fertilizers, pesticides, or nutrients into an irrigation system—most commonly in drip irrigation or sprinkler systems. This process is called fertigation (fertilizer + irrigation).

It works on a basic physics principle called the Venturi effect:

  • When water flows through a pipe that narrows, its speed increases
  • This creates a low-pressure zone
  • That low pressure sucks liquid fertilizer or chemicals into the water stream

Farmers use a Venturi kit to:

  • Apply fertilizers efficiently through irrigation lines
  • Deliver pesticides or micronutrients directly to plant roots
  • Save labor and time (no manual spraying needed)
  • Ensure uniform distribution across crops
